Vector Pinball
Vector Pinball is an open-source arcade pinball game for android developed by the Dozingcat software.
It is a very simple pinball game, both in terms of graphics and gameplay. The game even fits snugly onto 6 MB; roughly the size of three or less phone camera photos. Nevertheless, the game still has some things going for it, especially on a boring, slow day.
Installation
The game can be downloaded through the Google Play Store or the F-Droid Main Repository (the developer does not release binaries to GitHub). As of 27 May 2025, the latest version of the game is v1.14.0 released on 24 December 2024. The game is not released on any platforms other than Android. With a 3 MB download size and 6 MB installed size, downloading should not be an issue unless one's device is really low on storage. During our attempt at installation, the process was very quick and painless.
Gameplay
The gameplay of Vector Pinball is very simple, as with pinballs in general. In the game, you launch a ball to the table, and you must prevent the ball from falling off the table by hitting it with the two paddles on the left and right side of the screen. You tap the left side of the screen to move the left paddle and the right side of the screen to move the right paddle.
In the game, there are a total of eight tables, each with their own gimmick and features. For example, one of the table has a constellation in the middle of the table. If you move the map to a constellation, finish the constellation, and then do a few additional things, you will start "multiball" mode. Other pinball tables have different means of entering "multiball," which can be seen on the "help" menu in the main menu screen.

Audio
When you choose start game, and when you launch the ball, the game plays a sound akin to a regular pinball machine jingle. There is also a ding of varying pitch every time the ball touches a bumper, ramp, or rollovers, much like what you would expect in a pinball game.
The game also has music playing in the background. Initially, the game is mostly silent aside from the sound effects, but as you continue to play and gain more points, the background music will start to play. The background music is mostly upbeat which fits the game's arcade-y nature.
Customizability
As Vector Pinball is a simple game, there is not much settings available for it. You can toggle the music and sound effect, haptic feedback (vibration), independent flippers (to make any touch activate both flippers), zoom playfield, ball trails, and a few other settings. Aside from that, there is not much else you can configure.Verdict
Vector Pinball is a nice, simple, and lightweight pinball game for Android. Its graphics may be pretty simple, but the game has a charm that makes it interesting even with the simple art style.
Vector Pinball may not be the kind of game you play for a long time or very often, but it is a great game to fend off complete boredom when you need a quick and short entertainment.
